Congress Funds Nationwide Health Tracking Network
Congress has approved almost $30 million to establish a nationwide health tracking network to track chronic diseases and any potential links to environmental hazards. Information from the network could give local, state and federal public health officials and communities the tools needed to respond to these serious health concerns as well as unforeseen emergencies. This initial funding is a down payment toward a fully implemented nationwide tracking network.
