Lindsey Ilagan, MS

Lindsey’s journey in public health began with a deep-rooted belief in the power of community collaboration. Drawing inspiration from indigenous knowledge systems of health while acknowledging the rich, complex cultural tapestry of Hawaiʻi, she takes pride in working alongside community partners to address social drivers of health inequity and decentralizing systems of care. As the Program Manager for Healthy Aging and Community Living initiatives at the Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, Co-Founder of the Kūpuna Collective, and Chair for the Honolulu Committee on Aging, Lindsey merges her background in health communication with her personal experience as a primary caregiver for her grandparents, using her insights into the challenges and joys of caregiving to guide her efforts to reshape narratives around aging and build more age-inclusive communities.
