CDC director resigns because of conflicts over financial interests

In addition, CDC personnel are still involved in hurricane recovery efforts in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. And theirs is the lead agency working with hospitals and doctors nationwide to guarantee that opioids are appropriately prescribed and that opioid-related deaths are accurately recorded, he said.
