Emily Horowitz
Emily Horowitz is a Senior Government Relations Manager at TFAH, where she leads the organization’s government relations and advocacy strategies focused on infectious disease prevention and public health data.
Before joining TFAH, Emily was a Public Health Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). At CDC, she advised the Public Health Infrastructure Center and National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities on congressional strategy to convey policy needs, evaluate legislation, and manage briefings and hearings.
Prior to her work at the CDC, Emily led the American Heart Association’s (AHA) federal advocacy priorities related to healthcare access and delivery, tobacco control, and nonprofit finance Before AHA, she supported federal policy initiatives and led District of Columbia policy advocacy at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
Emily graduated with Honors from American University and is an alumna of WeLead, a nonpartisan training program to position young professional women to run for office, manage political campaigns, or work in the government. In 2021, she was recognized as a finalist for Women in Government Relations’ Excellence in Advocacy Award for Advocate on the Rise.
