Public Health Programs Monitor: Resources
This page hosts briefs and other documents that provide analysis and context for the information in the dashboard. Because so many federal changes cannot be fully documented in dashboard format, these briefs and related supplemental materials aim to additional ways to tell the story of the current story of federal public health.
This initial PHPM brief, titled TFAH’s Public Health Programs Monitor (PHPM): Initial Trends across HHS Programs provides a background on the initiative, assesses initial trends across the dashboard, and highlights why these trends matter for communities and public health practice. The brief includes definitions; methodology; case examples of program elimination, consolidation and reorganization; and considerations for what these shifts mean for the public’s health.
