Dr. Thomas Dobbs
Dr. Thomas Dobbs is the State Health Officer for Mississippi. He is an infectious diseases physician, working at the intersection of public health and patient care, both domestically and internationally, with specific expertise in HIV and tuberculosis.
Dr. Dobbs has served in other public health roles, including district health officer and state epidemiologist in MS. Dr. Dobbs also serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, teaching epidemiology at the School of Population Health and School of Health Related Professions.
